Join Donna and the Riverside Team for the Riverside Beads Summer Retreat 2027 – three days of creativity, beading, learning and plenty of fun at the beautiful Molecey Mill Estate near Market Deeping and Stamford.

Following the wonderful response to our previous retreats, we are delighted to be returning to The Granary at Molecey Mill for two Riverside Beads Retreats in June 2027.

Our 2027 dates are:

Weekday Retreat: Monday 7th – Wednesday 9th June 2027
Weekend Retreat: Friday 11th – Sunday 13th June 2027

Our aim is simple – to give you an informative, enjoyable and relaxing few days of beading alongside expert tutors and like-minded guests.

Both retreats will follow the same structure and include the same classes, or as close as possible depending on tutor availability.

During the retreat, you can expect to complete around 7–8 creative workshops, along with additional smaller projects and activities. You’ll take home your finished makes as well as plenty of new skills, techniques and inspiration from our experienced tutors.

Previous Riverside Retreats have included techniques such as Kumihimo, Macramé, Chain Maille, Bead Weaving, wirework and jewellery making, and we’ll have another varied programme ready for 2027.

You’ll also have time to enjoy the gorgeous grounds of Molecey Mill. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor creative spaces, allowing us to make the most of our beautiful surroundings whatever the British weather decides to do!

Retreat Options

Full Retreat

Our Full Retreat gives you the complete Riverside Retreat experience, including accommodation at The Granary and access to all workshops, activities and tuition throughout the event.

Full Retreat price: £500 per person

A £100 deposit can be paid to secure your place, with the remaining balance due by 30th April 2027.

The Molecey Estate has 16 individually styled bedrooms. As The Granary is a Grade II listed property dating back to 1773, there are no ground-floor bedrooms, and all accommodation involves some stairs or steps.

Please bear this in mind when booking, as guests staying at the venue will need to be comfortable using stairs.

Some bedrooms have shared bathroom facilities, which may also involve steps, while others have an en-suite bathroom.

Bedrooms can be booked for single occupancy, with an option to add a day pass on and share a room.

3 Day Pass

Would you love to join the retreat but prefer to arrange your own accommodation?

Our 3 Day Pass gives you access to the retreat activities and workshops without accommodation at The Granary.

3 Day Pass price: £310 per person

Your pass includes all three days of your chosen retreat:

Weekday: Monday 7th – Wednesday 9th June 2027
Weekend: Friday 11th – Sunday 13th June 2027

3 Day Pass guests are welcome to join us from the very beginning of the retreat, including our opening activities at Riverside Beads.

You are also welcome to camp within the stunning grounds of Molecey Mill at no additional cost, or you can arrange accommodation locally.

The venue is situated between Market Deeping and Stamford, with a good selection of hotels, B&Bs and other accommodation nearby.

A beautiful property owned by the Molecey Mill Estate is Pettifer’s Loft, situated in the heart of Stamford. You can view the accommodation on Airbnb here. If you are interested in staying here, please let us know as a preferential rate may be available.

What’s Included for 3 Day Pass Guests?

Our 3 Day Pass guests are welcome to join us for the full retreat programme, including:

• Opening activities and make-and-takes at Riverside Beads
• All scheduled retreat workshops
• Additional creative activities
• Welcome meal on the first evening
• Continental breakfast on both mornings
• Buffet lunches
• Refreshments and snacks
• Optional shop visits
• Time to explore the beautiful Molecey Mill grounds
• Optional second-night evening meal

Please note that the second evening meal will be an optional extra for 2027. Further information will be provided closer to the retreat, or you are welcome to make your own arrangements at one of the local restaurants.

Travelling to Riverside Retreat

Your retreat begins at Riverside Beads in Market Deeping at approximately 1pm on your arrival day:

Weekday Retreat: Monday 7th June 2027
Weekend Retreat: Friday 11th June 2027

We’ll start with time at Riverside Beads, giving you the opportunity to meet everyone, browse the shop and enjoy some relaxed creative activities before heading to Molecey Mill later in the afternoon.

If you’re driving, there is free on-street parking available within a short walk of the shop. You can find more information by visiting our workshop page here.

We’ll then travel to The Granary at Molecey Mill, which is only a short drive from Riverside Beads. Free parking is available at the venue.

Travelling by Train

If you’re travelling by train, Riverside Beads is within easy reach of both Peterborough and Stamford railway stations.

Local bus and taxi services operate throughout the area.

Once you’ve arrived at Riverside Beads, we’ll help with transport between the shop and the retreat venue where possible, so you don’t need to worry about arranging this separately.

Catering

We want you to be well looked after while you’re crafting! On the first evening, we’ll enjoy a relaxed welcome meal together at the venue.

On the following two mornings, a continental breakfast will be available before workshops begin.

Lunch will include a delicious buffet with a selection of sweet and savoury options along with soft drinks, refreshments and snacks available throughout the retreat.

On the second evening, there will be the option to join us for an additional evening meal (chargable). This will be offered as an optional extra for 2027, with details confirmed closer to the event.

Alternatively, guests are welcome to arrange their own meal locally or make use of the self-catering facilities at Molecey Mill.

The Granary has a fully equipped kitchen, and there are several supermarkets, restaurants and food options within a short drive.

Please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies when booking so we can make appropriate arrangements wherever possible.

Payment Options

You can secure either the Full Retreat or 3 Day Pass with a £100 deposit.

Our 2027 retreat prices are:

Full Retreat – £500 per person
3 Day Pass – £310 per person

The remaining balance must be paid by 30th April 2027.

Payments can be made online, in-store, over the phone or via PayPal.

If you would prefer to spread the cost, payment instalments can also be arranged. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss an instalment plan that works for you.

Your £100 deposit secures your place, giving you plenty of time to spread the remaining balance before the final payment date.

What Happens After I Book?

Once your place has been booked, you’ll receive further information from the Riverside Team to help you prepare for your retreat.

Closer to the event, we’ll send you a full Riverside Retreat Arrival Guide containing information about:

• Accommodation
• Catering
• What to bring
• Workshops
• Additional activities
• Shop visits
• The final itinerary

The information you receive will be tailored depending on whether you’ve booked the Full Retreat or 3 Day Pass.

Most importantly, we promise you a few days filled with beads, creativity, new techniques, fantastic tutors, plenty of laughter and lots of lovely projects to take home.
