Covid-19 Update - Riverside Beads

Covid-19 Update

Hello Beautiful Beaders,

This week sees us in the midst of some challenging times during the Covid-19 outbreak. Please be assured that here at Riverside Beads and Crafts we are doing our outmost to keep safe. As part of this we wanted to give you our latest Covid-19 update.

We are open as usual, in store and online. Our store hygiene standards are extremely stringent and we are wiping down all surfaces regularly with anti-bacterial and/or bleach based products. However if you don’t want to venture out then we are still sending out parcels from our website or you can call the store and we can take your order over the phone. Having some projects to work on at the moment is a god send for many. I know I have a craft room full of kits that I’m going to be working on myself.
If you have a workshop booked and do not feel comfortable attending then please call us on 01778 344 550 or email us to info@riversidebeads.co.uk and we will be happy to credit your ticket for a future class.
If you are having to self-isolate through necessity or choice then do make sure that you keep in touch with the outside world, one way or another. Maybe take the time to join a social media group, like Facebook, where you can be a part of many different conversations on a daily basis.
You Tube is a marvellous way to keep your mind busy, with so many ‘how to’ channels and Vloggers (people who post weekly and daily videos of themselves chatting). These are great for keeping you entertained and in touch with the outside world.
Try to find out if your local community has set up a Covid-19 support telephone line or Facebook group. These are especially important if you live by yourself and don’t have any direct support. Don’t feel alone in this, we’re all in it together and there’s a lot of helpful folk out there.
If you have neighbours then be sure to knock on their doors, or pop a card through their door with your phone number. You may be able to help each other one way or another.
Please remember the NHS advice for staying safe and follow these simple guidelines:-
Wash hands regularly with soap for 20 seconds at a time
Avoid touching your face
Use tissues when coughing or sneezing
If you don’t have tissues use your sleeve
Avoid theatres, pubs and crowded areas

Work from home if you can
Avoid contact with people who are unwell
Stay at home for 14 days if you are have the following symptoms; fever, persistent cough, aching body
Call 111 if you feel you require medical help
We will get through this and will soon be back Beading better than ever. For the short term however we do need to be careful and safe. I’m sending big, BIG hugs to all of you out there.
Until next time, happy Beading my lovelies.

      Hi Carolyn,
Yes please. Just drop us an email via the contacts page to confirm the classes you’d like to swap to. Hoping it won’t be long before we are all back together again. Take care. Xx Donna
