Candle Making Workshop

Join us at Riverside Beads & Crafts in Market Deeping, near Peterborough for our creative Candle Making Workshop, running throughout the year from spring and summer through to autumn and winter.

These sessions are guided by the friendly team at Em and Els Candles, who will support you step by step as you design and create your own beautifully scented soy candle.

First, you will learn how to safely melt and pour soy wax. Then, you’ll explore how to blend fragrances, add colour, and decorate your candle tin. As a result, you’ll create a finished piece that both looks stunning and smells incredible.

Throughout the year, you can enjoy a variety of seasonal styles. For example, you might create fresh floral and citrus candles in spring and summer, followed by cosy, warm, and festive scents in autumn and winter.

In addition, selected evening sessions are part of our Craft & Sip series – Tipsy Wicks. During these sessions, you can bring your own drink and enjoy a relaxed and social atmosphere while you create.

Meanwhile, our daytime workshops offer a calm and friendly environment, complete with hot drinks and biscuits, perfect for a more relaxed creative experience. Both sessions have a chance to decorate a gift bag whilst your candle sets or enjoy a drink or a browse round the shop.

Overall, this workshop is suitable for complete beginners and improvers. It’s also ideal for anyone looking to try something new or enjoy a creative break.
