Learn how to make this cheerful stained glass light catcher using the copper foiling method  (otherwise known as the Tiffany method), during this 3-4 hour workshop (10am-1pm/2pm).  Suitable for beginners, no previous experience is necessary.
Our glass tutors Bev & John will guide you through the process from cutting and grinding the glass, foiling the edges, soldering and finishing your piece ready to hang.

Sun Lover Stained Glass Workshop

Join our new workshop for 2025 Sun Lover Stained Glass Workshop with artists Bev & John. You will be guided you through the step by step process to create your own Stained Glass project.

As you will be working with glass, heat and chemicals you will be provided with safety gloves, glasses and aprons and expected to follow all safety instructions on the day. The glass may vary compared with the pictures (dependant on availability at the time)

Want to make more than one light catcher?  You can also book in for our ‘Colour Me Happy’ light catcher workshop!

You do not need to have previous experience to join this class.  This informal workshop is the perfect workshop to enjoy with friends or come along on your own. We will work through each of the steps you need in order to make a beautiful glass sun catcher.

What you need to know:-

  • This workshops includes materials and use of tools
  • This workshop is in our classroom instore
  • Hot and cold drinks are available
  • Please do not wear open toe shoes.
  • Not suitable for children under 14 (any children over 14 should be accompanied by an adult)
  • We have aprons available – please also wear appropriate clothes to work in (incase you spill any on yourselves)
  • Also available for private group bookings
