Merry Christmas my Beautiful Beaders!
Can you hear the rustling of pine cones? Do you smell the sweet scent of cinnamon? Well that’s because we’re rolling out the festive spirit this weekend with the launch of all our exciting new Christmas product.
There’s going to be 8 Beaders Beading, 7 Crafters Crafting, 6 shop assistants leaping to help you. Now if I could only find my gold rings….
In all seriousness we do have a whole host of Beading and Crafting activities going on all weekend; on Saturday and Sunday I’m going to be demonstrating some fabulous Kumihimo techniques from my new book, available here; we’ve got super cute Christmas make and takes, including our gorgeous soldier boy charm – You make it, you take it – so easy and so free, free, FREE; Clare Rowlands from Daisy Mae Designs will be running an all day workshop on Saturday and Sunday, plus much more – including an offer on the Indie Angel kit at just £9.99, online and instore!
Besides all that there’s also going to be some pop up craft and giftware stalls. So you can get an early start to your Christmas shopping with fun kids stocking fillers and beautiful handcrafted homewares. We’ve still got one space left if you want to sell your handmade goodies. Anyway enough of my ramblings. If you can’t make it this weekend then I hope you’ll Bead a long in Christmas spirit with this quick and easy Christmas Tree Earrings project. You can buy the kits from me by clicking here or make up using the individual components if you have them already. They make a wonderful and fun gift for all the family. If you don’t have pierced ears then attach to a chain and wear as a necklace, or tie to a napkin for a cute accessory. You can even make a few different coloured versions, add them to wire loops and use as wine glass charms.
Green Christmas Tree Earrings
You will need:-
4 each x 12,10, 8, 6 and 4mm Green Sparkle Spacers
2 x gold or silver plated headpins and earwires
2 x 4mm gold or silver crystal cubes
2 x 4mm gold or silver stars
1. Take a head pin and add a 4mm crystal cube, add 2 x 12mm spacers, 2 x 10mm sparkle spacers, 2 x 6mm sparkle spacers and 2 x 4mm sparkle spacers, finish with a star.
2. Cut the head pin about 1cm above the top of the star and bend at a 90 degree angle on top of the star.
3. Roll the head pin to create a head pin loop at the top of your wire. Hook the loop onto an earwire to create an earring and repeat for the other one.
