Hello Beautiful Christmas Party Beaders!
Have you had your Christmas shenanigans yet? Perhaps you’ve got more than one (yikes!), or you’ve opted for a quiet drink with friends down the pub. It’s always a tricky one.
Then there’s the outfit – what to wear? Dress? Trousers? Fashionably on-trend culottes?? And what about your hair? Up, down, hair piece, novelty turkey hat? I’m exhausted just thinking about it.
Thankfully our Christmas party went off without a hitch last weekend. Everyone looked so beautiful and glamorous! Sex? Drugs? Rock n roll? Well if you count the two herbal head soothers I had to take the morning after then at least two of the aforementioned were involved.
This year we held our annual creative shindig in our little ol’ store. I wanted us to all learn a new craft so I booked the amazing Lauren to give us a taster class in modern calligraphy.
Modern calligraphy is one of the new workshops available in the Riverside Makery. We’ve got spaces still available in April and June, but you’d better be quick. Its just £15 per person and is a great Christmas gift if you’re struggling to find the perfect item for any creative friend. In fact a Riverside Beads and Crafts gift voucher is always well received. After the crafty part of the Christmas party was over we cracked open the fizz and traded our (not-so) secret Santa gifts. It’s not so secret because we do give each other some fairly unsubtle hints about what we would like. Sometimes Santa just needs a nudge, you know?
Once the gifts were opened we continued the fun with some hilarious games and then danced and laughed the night away. There’s nothing quite so hilarious as snaking a conga line around various shop fittings. At one point I’m sure Caroline tripped on a Big Shot!
Anyway I hope that your Christmas Party goes with a whizz, a bang and several pops of something fizzy.
