Bridal Bonanza

Hello Beautiful Beaders,

Now then my bridal beauties, do you recall a few weeks back I told you about all the latest trends for 2019? Nb. If you haven’t then be sure to catch up and read through our archived blogs here.
Anyways if you did read it then you’ll remember that the next big thing in Beading fashion is hairbands and hair vines, which are set to be HUGE this year.

Wear your tiara to work day!

In light of this epic news we have taken our lead from the fashion world and are going bridal headdress crazy with an amazing new hair vine and tiara making class – although technically, in my opinion, you can wear a tiara anywhere….to your prom…to an anniversary party…..in the bath….

Plus, as we are on the cusp of the bridal season, we’ve decided to have our own Riverside wedding celebrations. The church of Riverside Beads and Crafts welcomes all denominations so throw on some taffeta and head on down to our Market Deeping store on Saturday the 9th of March.
Not only will there be the fantastic hair vine workshop but you can also meet with our very own wedding stationery consultant to boot.
So if you or anyone you know would like tips on how to make your own bespoke, handmade invitations, place cards, etc. then be sure to come along and get inspired.
This is a handmade piece that I created for my friend Alison, who got married last year. It was her something ‘new’ and she was so delighted with it, because it was not only a one of a kind piece but also made with a lot of love. ❤️

Speaking of weddings, if you know anyone organising a hen do this year then I should probably mention my private craft classes. I run bespoke sessions for craft groups, hen parties and Women’s Institues. A card making class is always a lot of fun for hen do’s – I mean really, why not get your girls to make the wedding stationery, rather than do it yourself! Lol
A WI class in action
There’s lot of other options that we can provide, either at our store or at a venue/home of your choice. Plus the classes can be tailored to fit your theme or preference. Bridal bath bomb making is a great way of whipping up some low cost favours for your guests!
If you don’t have a big group but are interested in trying some new skills then there’s a couple of options available in March.
The first one, on the 30th of March, is our brand new ‘Crafternoon tea’. Caroline and I will spend a fun packed day with you, crafting and Beading and trying yummy treats from one of our favourite local tea rooms.
The second option is our first Dabble Day of the year. We hold these events a couple of times a year in aid of the amazing Sue Ryder charity. It’s a chance to try out lots of different skills, and as with all of our classes you take away whatever you make. It’s on Sunday 24th March from 10-3pm and it costs £6 per adult, £4 for accompanied children.

To book any of the classes mentioned above please call our store on 01778 344550 or visit the workshop page to find out more.
That’s it for this week. I hope that all of you beauties, bridal or otherwise, can join us at one of the above. Until then…happy beading!
