Wedding bells are almost ringing for the beautiful Meghan Markle and her dashing beau Prince Harry, and we are all just praying that the sun comes out for the big day on May 19th.
Weddings encompass my favourite things – love, happiness and an inordinate amount of double sided sellotape (although I’m pretty sure that Meghan won’t be up the night before threading ribbon through her Orders of Service!).
With the wedding season looming we’ve been stocking up with beautiful crystals, laces and ribbons in store and online. It’s been an exciting few weeks generally, what with the impending Royal wedding, the birth of baby Louis and of course not forgetting what’s sure to have been the REAL gossip of Buckingham Palace….the Riverside Beads and Crafts 16th Birthday weekend!!!
Celebrations kick off this Wednesday, May 2nd, at 9am when I’ll be bringing you some fantabulous products to air on my next live Create and Craft TV show. Tune in, record the show or catch up here.
Then from their house to mine Create and Craft’s very own Dean Wilson will be popping over to see us at our store on the morning of Saturday the 5th for meet and greets, coffee and a general Deano helloooo! All day we’ve also got Crafter’s Companion, Stix 2 and the lovely Vicki Hallat running free ‘make and takes’ – you make it, you take it!
If that wasn’t enough we’ve got our own Papercraft Royalty Dawn Bibby demonstrating during the morning of Sunday the 6th of May, followed by her wonderful half day workshop in the afternoon. Call to book, £25 per person.
There will be free goody bags for the first few customers each day and we will also be holding a raffle in aid of the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough. I’m going to be there all weekend with lots of our regular tutors giving free demonstrations throughout the two days so please do join us if you can, because it’s going to be a lot of fun…and cake!
