Stained Glass Poppy Light Catcher Workshop – Tiffany Method

Join us at Riverside Beads & Crafts in Market Deeping, near Peterborough for our Stained Glass Poppy Light Catcher Workshop. In this immersive 3-4 hour class, you’ll learn how to create a beautiful and meaningful poppy decoration using the traditional copper foiling (Tiffany) method.

Guided by experienced glass tutors Bev & John, you’ll work step by step through the process of creating your own poppy light catcher. You’ll begin by selecting your glass colour, choosing from red, purple, or white petals in a traditional memorial style.

You’ll then learn how to cut and grind stained glass, preparing each piece to fit your design. As the workshop progresses, you’ll apply copper foil to the edges and carefully solder the pieces together to form your finished poppy. Finally, you’ll complete your piece ready to hang and display.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, as well as anyone looking to learn traditional stained glass techniques in a friendly and supportive environment.

• Please wear closed-toe shoes (no open-toe footwear)
• Not suitable during pregnancy (due to materials used)
• Safety gloves, glasses, and aprons will be provided
